Originally designed for deploying ROVs and sensors from an Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV), the CROC Mini Smart Winch is ideal for any portable or remote application utilizing small small-diameter tether. It offers a motorized payout and retrieval, and can store up to 300 m of 5 mm diameter cable. By connecting to a standard network and using the built-in web control, operators can drive the winch functions through an intuitive interface. Or, for more advanced users and researchers, control can be fully customized and automated using a programming API (contact us for more information). All of the smart winch products include a cable counter for measuring deployment distance and allowing accurate “go to” commands.
