Ocean Landers

Global Ocean Design Ocean Lander Main Image

Global Ocean Design Ocean Landers are autonomous, untethered free-fall platforms designed to transport sensors, samplers, cameras, and other mission-specific equipment to the seafloor.

Global Ocean Design builds ocean landers for universities, government laboratories, industry, filmmakers, and other marine research applications. Systems are available for depths ranging from 1 km to 11 km and deployment durations ranging from several days up to one year.

Ocean Lander payloads can be configured with samplers, sensors, cameras, and other mission-defined equipment. Global Ocean Design also works with a range of sensor and sampler manufacturers, including RBR, EdgeTech, Ocean Instruments, and others, allowing systems to be tailored to specific research and monitoring requirements.
