Magnetically Activated Switch for End Caps

Magnetically Activated Switch for End Caps MAS-147

The Global Ocean Design Magnetically Activated Switch for End Caps (MAS-147) provides a convenient way to turn a system on or off before deployment or after recovery. An SPDT reed switch with normally open, common, and normally closed contacts is housed inside the switch body.

A bright orange screw-on cap contains the neodymium magnet used to operate the switch. The magnetic cap is removed before deployment to activate the switch.

The MAS-147 is available with Delrin, 6061-T6 aluminum, or titanium 6-4 switch bodies, allowing the material and pressure rating to be selected for the application.

Key Features

  • Magnetically activated switching for subsea systems
  • SPDT reed switch with normally open, common, and normally closed contacts
  • Bright orange screw-on cap contains the neodymium activation magnet
  • Switch bodies available in Delrin, 6061-T6 aluminum, and titanium 6-4
  • Contacts rated for 5 watts DC
