The Global Ocean Design Pressure Activated Switch for Glass Spheres (PAS-320) is designed to turn instruments on or off automatically after deployment. The switch can be configured to be either on the surface or at depth, providing a simple way to control subsea equipment based on ambient pressure.
As the switch descends below approximately 2–5 atmospheres, it changes to the alternate position. When returned to the surface, the switch automatically toggles back to its initial position. Its patented design is capable of withstanding overpressure up to 1,225 atmospheres.
Constructed from Ti 6-4 titanium for strength and corrosion resistance, the PAS-320 is designed for installation in glass spheres and is individually pressure tested to 10,000 psi.
The Global Ocean Design Pressure Activated Switch for Glass Spheres (PAS-320) provides automatic pressure-based switching for instruments deployed in subsea glass spheres. Contact Ocean Innovations for pricing, availability, configuration requirements, or technical assistance.
Note: Standard units are individually pressure tested to 10,000 psi. Testing to 18,000 psi is available at an additional cost.
